It makes you feel like you belong to the community and you are valuable. And this gives you a feeling of purpose as well. It can assist to improve general health and well-being.

VSS values social inclusion and provides participants with opportunities that involve interaction with others. Through our social activities, participants will benefit from interaction with other group members, making friends, having a good time out of home, promoting independence by getting involved within the community, improving their general well-being, getting away from daily life stress, and increasing their English language skills.
We offer activities at VSS, and can also connect participants to community centres and social groups such as Yoga, Meditation, English Classes, Parenting workshops, Self-Improvement Programs and more.
EAL/ESL Classes (English as a second/additional language)
It has been scientifically shown that learning a new language is the best way to exercise our brain. The learning process engages you in memorizing new words and rules and improves your overall memory. It helps you remember things, exposes you to new people and ideas, and empowers you in many aspects of your life. By learning a new language, you can form new relationships and strengthen your daily life abilities.
VSS offers English Language learning program to eligible participants individually or in small groups. Our professional and highly experienced teachers will assist the participants not only in improving their English language skills but also with daily activities that involve English language and Australian culture.
Art Therapy Program
Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that encourages self-expression through creating something, painting, modelling, craft making, wood carving, drawing and other forms of art.
VSS is dedicated to offer opportunities for participants to achieve a positive sense of general well-being. VSS values art therapy as one of the best ways of recovery. Art therapy is a remedial activity that explores emotions, increases self-esteem and self-awareness, and reduces anxiety and stress. It is about improving the quality of life for participants who are dealing with anxiety, depression, dementia, physical illness, addictions, grief and loss, attention disorder, trauma, PTSD, and more.
Individual Yoga Therapy and Group Yoga Classes
Yoga is a combination of mental, spiritual, and physical activities that improves our overall mental and physical health well-being. Yoga is usually practiced in a group and can give us immediate relief.
Yoga therapy is about the same practices and activities but is individualised. The main purpose of yoga therapy is helping a particular person to achieve a specific psychological, spiritual, and physiological goal.
Just as yoga therapy respects individuals’ differences, VSS recognizes and values diversity. It is about positive thinking and meditation, proper diet, proper breathing, and exercise. Yoga therapy is being suggested for the treatment of depression, several mental and physical health conditions including chronic pains.
Our experienced and adaptable support coordinators organise services that participants require with the goal of improving their life quality and increasing their independence.
